Antje Woolum was born and raised in Europe. She spent the first 21 years of her life in beautiful Bavaria which is in the southern part of Germany. She spent ten summers in the German Alps with her family, learning about all kinds of art which is richly displayed in the castles and churches and museums there. Even though she never majored in art in college, she spent much of her time creating it in different mediums like pottery and created a limited edition of 100 hand built centennial log cabins for the state of Montana in 1989. One of them is said to be on display at museum of state history in Helena, Montana.

She spend much of her adult life raising 2 beautiful boys who have grown into amazing young men. She only started photography as a medium of self expression in the spring of 2006 and has enjoyed a small following of "fans" and collectors since the early beginning, starting with a photograph called "Magical Landscape" which was taken in the San Bernardino Mountains of southern California. Her style is unique as the photographs are done on a personal rather than commercial level. All of them are taken in the state of California. California has become her home and will always be that place called "My California"......"
